Faith is Alive

“Faith is the assurance of things hoped for…”  Heb. 11:1

Every woman that comes to Engedi Refuge feels some degree of desperation for finding a safe place to stay, some peace of mind, and maybe…. just maybe a spark of hope for something good to happen to them in the future.  They have faith already when they come; some have a lot, and some have just a little, but everyone believes in their heart that their life can be different.  They are reaching for what many people in their life have told them doesn’t exist, or is impossible for them to get; but they are reaching out anyway.  That is faith.

It’s like a flower growing through a small crack in a concrete walkway.  The seed of that flower sends roots down deep to find even the smallest amount of moisture and nutrients from the soil beneath, and presses its stem through the thick, hard, hostile concrete toward the warmth and light of the sun.  The flower is compelled to grow, to bloom, and to bless the world with the full expression of its created beauty.

Engedi Refuge is a place where faith can grow.  The seeds of hope are watered with encouragement, and the barriers of hardship are removed, so that every yearning heart can see the “Son”.  If there was anyone who needs to experience the warmth of the Love of God, it is certainly the women who have been crushed by sex trafficking.

Join us in feeding the faith of a trafficking victim today.
